Datadog Fundamentals Certification Study Course
Datadog Fundamentals is an entry-level certification that systematically verifies the foundational knowledge you need to start working with Datadog. This course walks through the six domains of the official exam guide in the order the guide presents them, with a comprehension check at the end of each domain so you can catch anything you skimmed past. Once you have read through the domains, use the exam-style practice questions to check your time management and find your weaker domains. Because the domain weightings and the passing score are not officially published, this site does not present any figures for them either.

- 06Data VisualizationLearn the basics of Datadog from the user's side: get the big picture with the host map, read trends with dashboards and metric queries, narrow down with tags, and get notified of anomalies with monitors.

- The Content Outline in the exam guide is the backbone. Read the domains in order, and finish the comprehension check for each domain before moving on to the next
- Many questions cover facts you can verify by hand, such as the Agent's configuration files, commands, and ports. If you can, try them out yourself in a free trial environment; that is what makes them stick
- Tagging (key:value and unified service tagging) is a central theme in both the data collection and data visualization domains. Reading the glossary entry for "Tag" first will speed up your understanding
- Questions you get wrong in the practice exam are recorded automatically. Coming back after a few days and reworking them with "Review missed questions" helps them stay in your memory
